CONGRATULATIONS to the Dover Bay Model UN team which picked up awards for half of its 6 delegates this weekend at the Canadian High School Model UN conference in Vancouver. Yichen LI and Preet Shienh were each recognized as Oustanding Delegates and Brayden Ning took home a gavel as the Best Delegate in the International Energy Association. Well done team!

 

PHYSICS PLAYLAND TRIP– It’s that time of the year again, time for the physics 11 and 12 Playland Trip. This year the trip will be on May 9th and the cost will be $55.00.  Sign up with your physics teacher for your permission form and it is 1st come 1st served.

 

BAMBOO STRAWS- to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the ocean, bamboo straws will be for sale today, at lunch in the atrium! Show your support and come down and buy some straws and pick up a free “Reduce your plastic’ information sheet.

 

CLUBS:

 

  • MODEL UN- Come down to room D212 at lunch for the fun of Dover Bay MUN.
  • DANCE TEAM PRACTICE- there is a Dance Team practice today after school at 2:25pm in room B109.
  • ABORINGINAL GIRLS GROUP- meets at lunch in room C106.
  • ELL CLUB- If English is your second language and you need help with your homework, come on out to portable 8 every Monday and Tuesday after school.
  • ECO CLUB- Elementary school meeting in room D107 at lunch.

SPORTS:

  • WEIGHT ROOM- Open every Monday, after school at 3:00pm.
