Today is Red Dress Day. Did you know that Indigenous women and girls are 12 times more likely to be murdered or go missing than non-Indigenous? This is due to the legacy of colonialism. When you see a red dress, please remember that it represents someone’s mother, sister, or friend who is not here today.
Clubs
The Dover Impact Club is doing a money drive to raise funds for our sister school in Uganda. The last day to bring in money is today. They will use the funds to grow the size of their garden so they can provide more people in the community with fresh fruits and vegetables. They are also trying to expand their school so more people can get an education. Please consider donating, it doesn’t have to be just loonies. Any amount helps! The C Block class that raises the most money will receive a donut party!
Cafeteria
Today we have the chef’s choice for soup for $3.50 and the short order is the cheeseburger with all the fixings for $5.00 and $7.50 with fries.
Sandwich of the week is the turkey club wrap for $5.00. Add a soup, salad or fries to your sandwich for an additional $2.50
Grad/School Wear
The clothing ordered is expected to deliver to the school around May 16th.
