Model UN Club
Dover, do you want to be a real star? Do you play an instrument, sing, dance, or have a cool party trick to share? Well, this is your chance to really shine! The Dover Bay Model UN club is back-at-it again, hosting the annual Dover’s Got Talent in person this year! Auditions begin after school on March 31st, the first Friday back from spring break. Signups for in-person auditions come out during spring break, so keep an eye on our Instagram page, @doverbaymodelun for an update. You can also send in a video submission to doverbaymun@gmail.com. For any inquiries, feel free to contact Mr. King in E109. Take the stage and show us what you got!
Athletics
Badminton try-outs for Grades 8-9 are happening today at 4 pm in the gym. It will be helpful if you sign up ahead of time on the Dover Athletics website – go to the Badminton page!
Dover Bay Senior Boys won their second game last night at the Provincial Championship Tournament.
After being down by nine points at the half, the team came back and won 83-76 over MEI from Abbostford. Luke Linder set a tournament record with 49 points in the game for Dover Bay.
Great work by all the players and coaches in the win.
Today, Dover Bay plays the sixth ranked team North Delta at 3:30 PM. With a win, the team will move on to the finals of the tournament tomorrow.
Northern Games
Any students who did not have PE this year OR who missed the Northern Games try outs in their PE classes, there will be an event sampler at lunch on Thursday, March 30th. Come down to the gym and give these fun activities a try!
MyEd
For those of you who are doing their course selections and experiencing MyEd issues, please come to the office with a chromebook for help.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria will be closed today for clean up. Come and buy some pizza and help support the Dover Bay Ultimate Team in their upcoming spring season.

Attention: Grads – the online store is open and will close on April 14th so don’t delay! Purchase your grad wear now! Scan the QR Code for the link, available at the office and posted on our bulletin boards.
The School Store is up and running. Check your email for the link to order. The store closes on April 14th.
Grade 11 and 12 students, do you have a post secondary plan? Are you curious about what programs are available at VIU? Maybe you have been accepted to Vancouver Island University and wondering about how to set up classes, organize your schedule, or thinking about your program plans for VIU in September? We can help! VIU Educational Advisor, Leah Pond, and Recruitment Officer, Rolanda Murray, will be here at Dover on Tuesday March 28 to answer any questions you have. There is a group session for applicants starting at 8:30. For individual advising, please sign up in advance in the Counselling office.
Reminders
There will be a Spring Break “Certificate Course” being offered for Cashier’s Training on March 15th at Ladysmith Secondary from 10-3 and on March 21st at Island Connect Ed from 10-3. As well, there is Barista Training to be held on March 16th at Ladysmith Secondary from 10-3 and on March 22nd at Island Connect Ed from 10-3.
